TOOLS NEEDED: Espresso machine, milk frother or a whisk and a glass.
The breve is ultimately just a latte made with half-and-half instead of milk. This simple change results in a stark contrast between the two drinks.
A breve has a much creamier mouthfeel when compared to the latte. Also, the nature of half-and-half makes the breve taste a little sweeter.
Often, due to its sweetness, many people call the breve the “dessert latte” and have it after dinner; however, it can be enjoyed any time of day just as easily.
You can also make this an “iced” breve by just adding cold half-and-half to your espresso! It is a delicious alternative for a hot day!
