Bourbon Cold Brew Recipe

TOOLS NEEDED: Cold brew maker or espresso maker and Cocktail shaker and strainer.

The rich, warm flavor combination of bourbon and cold brew coffee could not be any more perfect. This drink, popular in Kentucky, is a classic holiday dessert cocktail. Kentucky folk will argue you need to use genuine Kentucky bourbon to make it right.

This isn’t really necessary, but we agree it makes it a bit more special.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cold brew or 2 ounces espresso, chilled
  • 1 ounce bourbon
  • ½ ounce pure maple syrup
  • Ice, for chilling
  • 1 ounce heavy (whipping) cream
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Directions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the cold brew, bourbon, heavy cream, and maple syrup. Cover and shake vigorously for 15 seconds
  • Strain the drink into a glass and spoon whatever foam is left in the shaker onto the top of the drink, leaving the ice behind
  • Serve sprinkled with cinnamon

Recipe Tip

If you do not have a cocktail shaker, use any airtight container and simply shake the ingredients inside that!
